Purpose and Scope of This Policy
This Job Applicant Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information collected about job applicants of Verily, and any of its subsidiaries that do not have separate job applicant policies. “Personal Information” means data that can reasonably be used to identify a specific person, including “Sensitive” or “Special” Personal Information that often receives additional protections and/or are subject to additional restrictions under applicable laws. In this Job Applicant Privacy Policy, we refer to this data as “Sensitive Personal Information.” This Job Applicant Privacy Policy does not apply to Personal Information collected outside of the job application or recruitment contexts. The Verily entity to which you have submitted your job application is the controller of your Personal Information, unless otherwise specified. In cases where the entity to which you have submitted your job application does not make decisions on the processing of your Personal Information alone, such as when a related entity is jointly involved in a hiring decision, such other entities are jointly responsible for the lawfulness of the specific processing activity. On some occasions, related entities may also independently determine how your Personal Information is processed as independent controllers, such as when a related entity receives your job application for its own hiring decisions or in the context of a business reorganization or group restructuring. You can view Verily group companies’ locations here https://verily.com/about-us/careers. If you have any questions about controllership, you may contact us using the contact details in the “Changes to This Policy and Questions” section below. Please include the name of the entity you are applying to or have applied to so that we can connect you with the controller of your Personal Information. This Job Applicant Privacy Policy is effective and last updated as of July 1, 2023, and supersedes any prior versions.
