Verily Continues Partnership with Vanderbilt University Medical Center to Support Next Generation of NIH All of Us Researcher Workbench
Five-year collaboration extension will enhance platform capabilities for biomedical research community
Dallas, TX – June 26, 2025 – Verily today announced the continuation of its partnership with Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) All of Us Research Program’s Researcher Workbench platform. The Researcher Workbench currently serves more than 17,000 registered researchers from all 50 states and over 1,100 organizations worldwide, powering more than 18,000 active studies across areas of biomedical research.
Building on Verily's existing role as a trusted technology partner with VUMC since the program's launch in 2018, this extended collaboration will continue Verily's work alongside VUMC and other partners to provide researchers with secure, cloud-based access to analyze biomedical data through the Researcher Workbench platform.
“We have long collaborated with Verily on enabling researchers to access and analyze All of Us’s one-of-a-kind data resource,” said Paul Harris, PhD, FACMI, FIAHSI, vice president for research informatics and director of the VUMC Office of Research Informatics. “We are excited to continue this effort to provide an enhanced platform to researchers, in order to accelerate biomedical research, ultimately benefiting participants and society.”
Future improvements will support easier cohort and dataset building for the research community. Verily’s curation and enrichment capabilities support the ongoing growth of a research ecosystem, which is made up of proprietary and third-party datasets that can be accessed and analyzed in addition to the rich All of Us data from consented participants.
“We are thrilled to continue serving the All of Us research community by making it easier for them to generate new scientific findings through the Verily platform,” said Scott Burke, chief technology officer at Verily. “Our Workbench solution will provide enhanced tools for collaboration, data access, and analysis to accelerate understanding of health and disease in all communities.”
The NIH All of Us Research Program will share more information about platform enhancements in the months to come.
