Vindell Washington, MD, MS, is the Chief Physician Executive at Verily, serving as the company’s senior-most physician authority, responsible for strategic initiatives spanning corporate advisory, business development, government affairs, innovation, board representation, strategic partnerships, and providing clinical oversight across Verily’s research and care solutions. Previously, he served as Chief Clinical Officer and Head of the Health Equity Center of Excellence. Prior to Verily, Dr. Washington served as Chief Medical Officer and EVP at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana where he oversaw network operations and contracting, medical policy and quality, disease management, and pharmacy benefits. Prior to that, he served as National Coordinator for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), where he provided executive direction and leadership for programs, operations, and policies. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia and his MS in healthcare management from the Harvard University School of Public Health.
